The narrow valley of Limone Piemonte. It borders to the east with the Pesio and Colla valleys, to the west with the Gesso valley and to the south with France (Roya valley). The Vermenagna stream flows here from its source in the Rocca dell’Abisso uplands (2755 m). This valley enjoys a tourist vocation thanks to numerous ski resorts. Unfortunately, it is marred by the presence of large cement factories and the ill-fated Colle di Tenda construction site; nevertheless, it offers hikers many beautiful routes on both sides. Local flora includes infinite varieties of flowers such as the edelweiss, the par excellence mountain flower.
